Japanese Cultural Program hosts and promotes in-person and virtual Japanese exchange programs for the diverse Northampton community, including Northampton Community College students, faculty, and staff and local primary and secondary students, senior citizens, and the broader community in and around the Lehigh Valley of eastern Pennsylvania. Our goal is to bring as many people as possible into the community to experience Japanese arts and culture and expand their knowledge of contemporary and historical Japanese art, culture, and society.

Japanese Arts with the Northampton Community is founded on the belief that artistic expression and cross-cultural exchange are integral to better understanding our world and, by extension, ourselves. 

The community is run by the Center for Global Education and International Services, which is staffed by a director, two assistant directors, a program coordinator, and an administrative assistant.
