Tearoom Design Online Workshop 2022 NIT Akashi College, Japan

The habit of drinking tea to socialize is common in several cultures. However, only in Japanese culture was a space specially designed and built exclusively for drinking tea. Japanese tearooms or teahouses synthesize Japanese aesthetic concepts. NIT Akashi College invites architecture students to participate in our online international design workshop. Together, the students will work in groups of Akashi 4th year students and develop a tearoom design. The online Zoom meetings are on Mondays at 10:40 am  (Japan standard time UTC +9).

Application until 1st October 

-online lecture about traditional Japanese Architecture

-meetings once a week, 10:40am~12:00am 10 sessions 

-final presentation ( end of Jan 2023 ) 

Requirements:

 -responsibly participate in the meetings and handling all assignments.
